Long time ago I was working for a big corportion. I was pretty young and 1 of the aspect of my job that I enjoyed the most back then was that I was travelling a lot. I really enjoyed the fact that I can spend 1 day in Barcelona, 1 month in Paris, and another day in New York. I felt like it was type of travelling for free. Normally, I was living in London and I liked it. I had my flat there, my friends, family and everything else that was making me content and what I needed to fully chill out after so many business trips.
And then 1 day, entirely unexpectedly, I have received that email that I was selected to open the office in a new country. At the beginning I didn’t fully realize what it meant for me. I thought that it meant only more short trips. But then it turned out that I needed to move to Poland. Not only travel to Poland but entirely moved there. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure what to feel. I have to also admit that I wasn’t very happy about that. I not only had to give up on London and move to other country, but also to one of those Eastern European countries, I have never been to previously. But made a decision to give it a try. It was supposed to be only for 2 years so I decide that it was not so tragic after all.
So you might be wondering what has happened that I have been in Poland 30 years longer? The answer is pretty simple. I simply fall in love with Poland. It wasn’t love at the first sight. It didn’t happen at once. It took a moment. But as soon as I moved there I noticed that people are amazing. Altough they do not smile to each other and they are not very talkative, they are highly helpful always when you need their help. You can be sure that if something is going wrong, there is always a person that will react or help you. I also love Polish girls.

They are very charming. I believe that it is rather pointless to ass that my wife is also Polish? Furthermore, I fall in love with Polish customs. I really love that they are very close with their families and they spend all of these great traditional holidays together.

Apparently, sometimes there were also though moments. For example, when I couldn’t speak Polish and nobody around was speaking English. However then I decided to sign for polish course warsaw and now I am fluent- more info: polish course warsaw! So as you may see – it was not always easy, but this was definitely worth it.
