Arts and Leisure Projects – February 2005
Our experience in the Arts and Leisure fields has grown from direct experience in designing buildings for both public and private clients which range from educational facilities such as the Prior Park Performing Arts Centre and the Old Vic Theatre School dance studios to public buildings ranging from visitor centres, golf clubs, museum and art gallery works that include the restoration of the Royal West of England Art Gallery to the early master planning stages of the highly successful £97M @t Bristol Millennium leisure project opened in 2000.
Hands on knowledge brought to the practice by George Ferguson’s direct experience through his contributions to the creation and management of the original Bristol Exploratory, (the fore runner to the recently opened @t Bristol Hands on Science Centre, EXPLORE) and more recently, the delivery and management of the mixed use Tobacco Factory, theatre, bar and restaurant have brought us a direct understanding of many core issues important to the delivery of arts and leisure projects.
